Case: Whatever the settings scheme, using an old TP-Link TL-WR340G as a second/slave router doesn’t work, showing various symptoms.
Case: Searching for app on Discover, it returns results while “checking for updates” is running, but once the check is complete it no longer returns search results.
Case: Ubuntu 18.04 (KDE), Baloo search index reached max inotify watchers: search in Dolphin (Ctrl+F) doesn’t return search results for new files and so does KRunner (Alt+F2).

Doing an apt search brave doesn’t return anything either.
