Q: How to Add RAR Support to KDE Ark?
A: Install unrar with your distro’s package manager. This adds decompression support. For compression, WinRAR is available for Linux CLI.
Update May 20, 2022: Thanks to everyone using the feedback form below every post. This package adds rar support for decompression only. Currently, Ark does not work* with rar files. Issue reported to KDE. Thanks for notifying me, once again.
* Out of the box, Ark includes a rar plugin which quits abruptly during compression. Tested on OpenSUSE Tumbleweed KDE, Ark v21.12.2 and v22.04.1.
